Refund policy

In store purchases

If, for any reason, you are not happy with your purchase we have a 14 day return policy, which means you have 14 days to request a return. Refunds for orders purchased in store are issued in store credits in the form of gift vouchers. Your statutory rights are not affected.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, you should either bring or send the goods to: The Gallery, 14 High Street, Maldon, CM9 5PJ. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. You are responsible for the shipping costs and all artwork is sent at your own risk.

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items and gift cards cannot be returned.

Online purchases

If, for any reason, you are not happy with your online purchase please contact us within 28 days of receiving the goods by sending an email to info@thegallerymaldon.com.

If 30 days have passed since your purchase we are unable to offer a refund.

We will only accept the return of item/s if they are in the original undamaged packaging or packaging of the same quality.

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items and gift cards cannot be returned.

You are responsible for the shipping costs. All artwork is sent back at your own risk. When returning your item we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance, the parcel is not our responsibility until we sign for it.

Once your return is received and inspected we will send you an email to notify you of this and the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved your refund will be processed and a credit will be applied to your original method of payment within 10 working days.

The original cost of shipping is non-refundable.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon receipt. We wrap each item very carefully but in the unlikely event that your goods do arrive damaged or if you have received the wrong item please contact info@thegallerymaldon.com so that we can evaluate and rectify the issue. 

Please contact us within 7 days of receiving the goods, otherwise we cannot be held responsible for damage that has occurred.

Shipping

Shipping is free for orders over £100. It is charged at the flat rate of £5.00 for anything under this.

It can take up to 3 working days before your order is posted. Please let us know if you need your order by a specific date and we will try our best to accommodate.

If you are not in to take delivery of your parcel, it is your responsibility to arrange a redelivery with the postal service used. If you do not arrange a redelivery or collect the parcel from the depot, and it is returned to The Gallery then we will have to charge you the costs to re-post it. 

Orders are sent via Royal Mail first class and will take 3 - 7 working days to arrive once sent. Occasionally it can take longer, especially during busy times of year. If your order hasn't arrived within 10 days please contact us.
