Sara Johnson is a contemporary artist, based on the Suffolk Norfolk border near Bungay and known for her atmospheric, semi abstract landscape paintings. She uses mainly acrylic, watercolour and mono-printed collaged papers, to convey the spirit, mood and textures of the places she visits.

Born in 1955 in Hampshire, Sara studied at Winchester School of Art and Loughborough College of Art and Design, where she did a degree in textiles, specialising in weaving. She subsequently became a garden designer before painting full time in 2014.

Sara’s work is collected throughout the UK as well as abroad. She has exhibited with the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours at the Mall Gallery in London and currently exhibits in East Anglia and Harris in the Outer Hebrides.
